EPISODE SUMMARY:
Every band and every album on this list has a unique story, and the more you learn about them the more you realize how deeply interconnected the ecosystems of both classic and modern music really are. The Modern Lovers may have released just one album with their original line-up: their self-titled 1976 debut album. But these proto-punkers stories' only begin there, with all of the members going on to illustrious solo careers or work with other hugely important bands like Talking Heads, in addition to them being considered some of the founders of the punk genre. And Joe Sib, a punk legend in his own right, is full of stories of his own from his days as the frontman of the band Wax and the founder of SideOneDummy Records; stories which have proved great fodder for his successful career in comedy.
