EPISODE SUMMARY:

The 1960s and 70s might seem so far removed from the present day that it can be hard for people to draw a connection between the world of today and one characterized by classic cars, bubble gum pop and the shining light of America in its prime. But perhaps crisp harmonies, bopping rhythms and simple lyrics about unrequited love are what we need right now to shepherd us through the current darkness. At least that is comedian and actor Esther Povitsky's plan, to ride out the end times while dancing alone in her apartment to all the chart-topping hits of soul singers Diana Ross & The Supremes' incredible career, collected in the 2001 release Anthology (even if the past wasn't as bright as we like to remember it). After all, Esther's awkward yet bubbly positivity is what has led her to appear in Hulu's Dollface and Freeform's Alone Together, as well as release a stand-up special through Comedy Central.
