EPISODE SUMMARY:

The world is a lot smaller than you might think, and history is full of stories of some of your favorite artists working with their favorite artists, who are often some more of your favorites. Such is the case with Gerald Casale, one of the founding members of the iconic art punk band Devo. His group quickly rose to critical and commercial acclaim in the late 1970s and early 1980s, garnering them the admiration of many of their contemporaries, as well as allowing them to work with some of the most respected musicians of all time, such as the groundbreaking avant-pop artist Brian Eno. Eno produced Devo’s debut album, and during that experience, Casale got a firsthand look at the bizarre creative methodology that led to Eno’s own highly influential work, including the 1975 album Another Green World.
