It's one thing to be a fan of an artist, with your own interpretations of and relationship to their work. It's an entirely different thing to be raised by that artist and have their music be a ubiquitous element in your life. Musician Pearl Aday says it felt pretty normal to have the theatrical rock balladeer Meat Loaf as a parent. But that does not preclude her from being in total awe of her father's entire discography, especially his 1977 masterpiece Bat Out of Hell. In fact she shares that love of his music with her husband, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, who has infinite respect for the man he calls father-in-law.
