EPISODE SUMMARY:
It may be hard nowadays to conceive of how groundbreaking an artist like Madonna really was in her heyday. But despite what other pop stars might have accomplished since the release of her 1998 album Ray of Light, there is no denying that she has always been able to tap into the pulse of our advancing culture and seek out that which is on the cutting edge. Doing so has made her the idol of many, and an inspiration to other strong, independent women like comedian and writer Bonnie McFarlane. Bonnie has had a fair amount of success in her own right, including appearing on HBO, Hulu and Comedy Central, as well as having her memoir You're Better Than Me published by the late, great Anthony Bourdain.
