EPISODE SUMMARY:

There are artists, and then there are artists: creatives who fly in the face of convention and defy all expectations without any concern for what might sell, only for what is beautiful and true. And you'd be hard pressed to find a musician with greater artistic integrity than Icelandic avant garde musician Björk. Having started making music at 11 years old, she has only ever pushed outwards against boundaries and against pop sensibilities. Her 1995 sophomore album Post affected comedian Kurt Braunohler deeply in his heavy acid usage period of life. And even now, as his career has taken him from surreal sketch comedy to appearing in FOX's Bob's Burgers, Hulu's Black Monday and Netlfix's Lady Dynamite, as well as co-hosting the podcast Bananas, Kurt is constantly inspired by Bjork's commitment to creativity.
