EPISODE SUMMARY:

Even your heroes have people they look up to, as true brilliance begets ever more of its ilk. At this point, Bob Dylan is more of a cultural force of nature than a mortal musician. So it should come as no surprise that even 40 years into his career, an album like 2001's Love and Theft commands as much respect as it does from the likes of LA's punk rock pioneer John Doe. Having founded bands like X and The Knitters, John owes little deference to anyone. Yet he has no qualms about bowing before the altar of a musical god like Bob, and showing respect to his mastery in wielding rockabilly, blues, and Americana like no other.
